John McCreery - Camp Director 

 

Head Coach - Vassar College (NY)

John McCreery enters his 6th season as the head coach of the Brewers men's lacrosse program for the 2024 season. In the 2018 season, John McCreery, was the first assistant and recruiting coordinator for Williams College.

2017 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year

McCreery served as the defensive coordinator and first assistant at Vassar from 2015-2017. In 2017 the Vassar staff was honored as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year when the Brewers made their first ever playoff appearance as the third seed. The 2017 Vassar defense allowed just 8.63 goals per game and their man-down was ranked second in the Liberty League.
 
Also during that time, VC saw 11 players earn All-Liberty League honors, including its first First Team honoree since the 2010 season. McCreery also mentored the Liberty League Rookie of the Year in James Thomas in 2016, and assisted VC's first lacrosse All-American in Liam Moriarty in 2017.

Before joining the Vassar staff, McCreery served as the head coach of the lacrosse team at Adams State University from 2012 to 2014. In addition to providing overall leadership, management and planning of the program, McCreery was responsible for hiring and developing the coaching staff and monitoring academic performance of the student athletes.  

Prior to joining Adams State, McCreery served as the head coach at the University of California Santa Cruz from 2009 to 2010. He led the Banana Slugs to a 10-5 record and a No. 19 MCLA Division II national ranking in 2010. 

From 2006 to 2009, McCreery was the head coach and director of the lacrosse program at the University of Mississippi. While a university student, McCreery redirected a doormat program into a competitive one, leading the Rebels to a combined record of 19-16 during his time in Oxford.

McCreery got his start in coaching at the high school level, severing as the director of lacrosse at Palos Verdes (2005-06) and head woman’s coach at Woodside (2004) in California.


CJ White - Associate Camp Director

 

Assistant Coach - Vassar College (NY)

White is entering his second year as an assistant coach for Vassar College in 2024. Before coming to Vassar, White  served as an assistant on Clarkson Universty's Men's Lacrosse team in 2022. Other coaching stints include Many club programs in the Northeast including the New England Twisters, NE Blazers, and 3D New England. 

White is a native of Lynnfield Massachusetts, where he gradated from Pingree School (MA) in 2017. There he was a two time captain of the lacrosse team and was a two-time All-American and two-time League MVP. Graduating high school as a top 25 goalie in the class of 2017, White played his college lacrosse at Hobart College where he was a part of three NEC playoff runs. At Hobart White was a part of a 2019 and 2020 team that was ranked in the top 20 in the country.

Tyler O'Keefe - Field Director

Head Coach - MIT (MA)   

Tyler O’Keefe enters his third season as the MIT Walter Alessi Men's Lacrosse Head Coach. Under his tutelage, the Engineers have made two appearances in the NEWMAC Tournament semifinals and have received 33 NEWMAC Academic All-Conference, 15 NEWMAC All-Conference, two NEWMAC Rookie of the Year, one NEWMAC Athlete of the Year, four NEILA Academic All-New England, two USILA Scholar All-America, one IMLCA All-Region, and one NEILA Senior All-Star Game honors.

Prior to his arrival at MIT, O’Keefe was an assistant coach at Williams College for two years. He was the program’s defensive coordinator, head recruiting coordinator and coached the face-off specialists. O’Keefe coached four All-NESCAC performers, one NEILA All-Star, one NEILA Honorable Mention honoree, and two USILA Honorable Mention All-Americans during his time with the Ephs.

O’Keefe’s other collegiate coaching experience includes stints as an assistant at both Rhodes College in 2014-15 and at his alma mater, Springfield College, from 2012-14. As a four-year student-athlete for the Pride, O’Keefe was a team captain as a senior and a two-time Pilgrim League All-Conference honoree. His teams captured four straight Pilgrim League Championships and appeared in the NCAA Division III Tournament in each of his four seasons.

In the classroom at Springfield, O’Keefe earned his Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice in 2012 and is working towards completing his Masters of Science in movement and sports studies, with a concentration in athletic administration. He was also a member of the Springfield College Criminal Justice Club and worked as a supervisor in the Office of Special Programs at Springfield.

 

Billy Mason - Assistant Field Director

 

Head Coach -Bowdoin (ME) 

In the summer of 2021, Bill Mason was named head coach of the Bowdoin men's lacrosse team and in his first season with the Polar Bears in 2022, led the team to quite simply one of the finest years in program history. Named the NESCAC Coach of the Year, Mason guided the Polar Bears to a school-record 18-3 mark, a NESCAC Championship game appearance and home NCAA Regional for the first time in program history. Bowdoin advanced to the national quarterfinals for the first time in the history of the team and numerous players garnered All-NESCAC, All-New England and All-American honors. 

In six years at Lasell, Mason guided the program to unprecedented success, including an overall record of 61-23 (.726), two Great Northeast Athletic Conference championships (2017, '21) and two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. His teams have dominated GNAC play over the last half-decade, racking up a 36-3 mark in conference play, and 47 of his athletes have earned GNAC post-season honors, including the program's first USILA All-American in 2019.

Prior to his arrival to Lasell, Mason spent three years as an assistant coach at Bates College. With the Bobcats, Mason served as the assistant coach and defensive coordinator and helped lead Bates to its first winning season in over eight years, as well as the program's first NCAA tournament appearance and victory. Mason also coordinated all aspects of recruiting with the Bobcats, and assisted with team travel, daily practice planning, and team community service outreach.

Before Bates, Mason returned to his alma mater, Western New England University, where he served as the offensive assistant and recruiting coordinator. Mason helped guide the 2012 squad to an undefeated conference season, a No. 15 rank in Division III, and an NCAA Tournament bid. While at WNEU, Mason was a three-year member of the Golden Bears men's lacrosse program, and won a Commonwealth Coast Conference championship during his first year in 2009.

 

David Drozjock - Director of Enrollment

 

Assistant Coach - Williams (MA)  

Drozjock comes to Williams after serving as Assistant Coach for the men’s lacrosse team at Vassar College since November 2021. During his time with the program, Drozjock helped with a transition to overhaul the offensive strategy and implementation of the offensive game planning. In just his second season, he helped Vassar to score the most goals in program history. 
 
Before Vassar, Drozjock was an Assistant Coach with the boys' lacrosse team at Seton Hall Prep in New Jersey. He helped run a nationally-rated offense, focusing on young player development. The team was the 2021 Essex County Champions.
 
In addition, Drozjock served as the Facility Manager/Director of Turf City Sports, helping to build youth and adult lacrosse programs from the ground up. In addition to website management, scheduling, customer relations and programming and marketing, he also managed the building, which included two full turf size fields and a weight room.
 
Drozjock served as the Assistant Coach at Division I Wagner for two seasons, helping to recruit top level prospective student-athletes to the Seahawks. His efforts helped raised the team GPA significantly and also saw him manage an extensive operating budget for the program.
 
As a collegiate student-athlete, Drozjock played for the men’s lacrosse team at Ithaca College. During the 2016 season, he played in 16 games, posting 13 goals with seven assists, including a four-goal performance in a 17-4 win over SUNY Oneonta.
 
Though his playing career was cut short due to injury, Drozjock became a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Bombers in 2017, working primarily with the faceoff specialists. He also developed game plans and designed effective practice plans for the offense and faceoff specialists, while conducting comprehensive film sessions and preparing daily team practice plans.

 

Devin Samuelson -Staffing Liasion

 

Assistant - UVM (VT)  

Samuelson joined the UVM men’s lacrosse staff in the summer of 2023.
 
Samuelson most recently served as a defensive coordinator at Division-III Williams College in Massachusetts. Samuelson spent four years with the Ephs and helped them finish 18th in the nation. Samuelson’s defense caused the second-most caused turnovers in program history and allowed the third-fewest man-up goals in the NESCAC. Williams was nationally ranked in the top-20 all season as Samuelson coached the league's best goalie and two All-American honorable mention defenders.
 
A five-year player at Springfield College, Samuelson was part of a team that went to four NCAA Tournaments including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2019. 
 
The Western Massachusetts native was raised in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, along with his three brothers: Connor, Casey, and Ian. Connor currently serves as the Defensive coordinator for men’s lacrosse America East rival UMass Lowell.
